- Özvar meets with Rector Yusuf Yılmaz to discuss the university’s ongoing work, new projects, and future goals

Council of Higher Education (CoHE) President Erol Özvar visited Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, where he met with Rector Prof. Yusuf Yılmaz to discuss the university’s ongoing work, new projects, and future goals.

Following the meeting at the Rector’s Office, Özvar visited various areas of the campus and received information about ongoing initiatives, particularly the Sports-Friendly Campus project.

During his visit, Özvar also met with the university’s academics and listened to their views and assessments.

To commemorate the visit, Özvar, together with Nusret Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Development Foundation, and Rector Yılmaz, planted a laurel sapling in the botanical area of the newly renovated coastal recreation zone.

In his remarks following the visit, Özvar expressed his pleasure at visiting Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, which he said has attracted attention with the momentum of its development in a region with a long-standing scholarly and cultural heritage.

Referring to the laurel sapling he planted, Özvar said, “May it take root and grow, bearing witness to many beautiful endeavors with an open horizon.”
