The Data Analytics School, launched last year under the auspices of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), is expanding its scope and evolving into the Digital University Platform for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The platform will offer free training open to everyone in artificial intelligence, data analytics and sustainability, delivered by internationally recognized academics from leading universities in Türkiye.

There will be no prerequisites for applying. Candidates from different academic disciplines and professional fields will be eligible to participate, with applications accepted between October 14 and 20, 2026. Training will begin with a joint inaugural lecture on November 3.

The platform will offer a total of 16 training modules across three schools. It will be implemented under the leadership of Marmara University’s Institute of Population and Social Research and Yıldız Technical University. Boğaziçi University, Istanbul Technical University and Middle East Technical University will also contribute academically to the program.

- Özvar: “We are expanding the Data Analytics School with new modules”

CoHE President Erol Özvar stated that they aim to make universities’ academic expertise accessible to broader segments of society.

Emphasizing that digital transformation offers significant opportunities toward achieving this goal, Özvar said:

“We consider digital transformation in higher education as an important means of making our universities’ academic expertise accessible to wider audiences. Around 30,000 people actively participated in the Data Analytics School we launched last year. We are now building on that experience by introducing new modules and a Sustainability School, transforming the initiative into the Digital University Platform.”

- 16 training modules across three schools

The Digital University Platform will bring together three distinct areas of training under one umbrella: the Artificial Intelligence School, the Data Analytics School, and the Green Transition and Sustainability School.

The Artificial Intelligence School will offer three modules: “Machine Learning,” “Enabling Tools,” and “Modern Software Development.”

The Data Analytics School will offer seven modules: “Fundamental Statistics,” “Panel Data,” “Computational Social Sciences,” “Digital Humanities,” “Psychometrics,” “Biostatistics,” and “Data Analytics.”

The Green Transition and Sustainability School will offer six modules: “Climate Change and Global Policies,” “Corporate Sustainability,” “Environmental Sustainability,” “Circular Economy and Sustainable Finance Ecosystem,” “Social Sustainability,” and “Clean Energy Technologies.”

The training will be delivered online. Following common core courses, participants will move on to field-specific modules. Classes will be held once a week, with each session lasting three hours.

The new academic term of the Digital University Platform will begin on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with a joint inaugural lecture open to participants from all modules, scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Those wishing to participate may submit their applications between October 14 and 20.
