Scientific Conference on “Sultan Husayn Bayqara” Planned to Be Held in Herat, Afghanistan
A scientific conference dedicated to “Sultan Husayn Bayqara” will be organized in Herat, Afghanistan. The conference, which is expected to have a regional scope, will address a broad range of topics, including the life of Sultan Husayn Bayqara and his political, architectural, artistic, cultural, and enduring legacy during the Timurid period. In this context, academics and researchers from Türkiye have also been invited to participate in the conference, which will be held at a later date. In addition, accommodation for four participants will be available at the Consulate General of Türkiye in Herat. Guesthouse facilities are also available at the Herat offices of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMV). Airfare expenses for academics and researchers traveling from Türkiye to attend the conference will be covered by TİKA. The conference date and application details will be announced at a later stage.
