An important educational initiative has been launched under the 2026-2027 Work Plan of the Inter-Agency Working Group on Tourism and Climate Action, approved by the Executive Council of UN Tourism. As part of this initiative, a series of free online training modules on climate action, developed jointly by UN Tourism and Booking.com, has been made available at the national level.

The program is designed to strengthen the institutional and academic capacities of tourism businesses, destination management organizations (DMOs), and sectoral associations, as well as, in particular, relevant university departments, academics, and students.
