Updated Framework Principles and Procedures on Pedagogical Formation Enters into Force

In the announcement made by the Council of Higher Education on the "Pedagogical Formation Certificate Program" on September 9, 2021, it was stated that the cooperation protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of National Education in the field of education was updated and more information would be shared in the coming days.
As a result of the joint works carried out in this context, the cooperation protocol between CoHE and MoNE was updated and signed. In addition, the Ministry has also updated the "Directive on the Teaching Practice to be Made by Practicing Students in Educational Institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education".
The Council reviewed the principles and procedures on pedagogical formation, which were prepared on November 18, 2015, and made the necessary arrangements. Pedagogical formation certificate programs were aligned with the new teaching programs that have been implemented since the 2018-2019 academic year after taking the opinions and suggestions of the stakeholders. The updated version of the
“Framework Principles and Procedures on Pedagogical Formation” was approved by the Council of Higher Education and
will enter into force in the 2021-2022 academic year.
Depending on the resumption of face-to-face education in higher education institutions and schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education starting from the 2021-2022 academic year, it will be possible for the pedagogical formation certificate programs, which have been implemented in the past within the scope of the ongoing studies with teacher training programs, to be started within the framework of the new principles and procedures determined and by considering the issues such as
the criteria to be determined by the university senates, the physical infrastructure of universities, the qualification of faculty members, the quality of education, the physical capacity of the schools affiliated to the national education directorates in the provinces, and the distribution of teachers according to branches.
