CoHE President Özvar Visits Elazığ

Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education, met with regional
university rectors, former rectors and graduates of Fırat University in
Elazığ within the scope of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Program of
Fırat University.
In his speech, Özvar stated that the universities in Anatolia are very
valuable and that they are no different from other universities. He noted
that the services of the universities will not be limited to Türkiye, and
that they will first open up to neighboring countries and then to the whole
world. He also pointed out that universities need time to establish their
institutional structures.
He met with Prof. Adile İpek Muz, the first graduate of Fırat University in
1975 with student number 1. He congratulated her for her contributions to
Fırat University as a faculty member.
CoHE Executive Board Members Prof. Erol Arcaklıoğlu, Prof. Hüseyin Karaman,
Rector of Fırat University Prof. Fahrettin Göktaş, rectors of regional
universities, former rectors and faculty members of Fırat University
attended the event.
