CoHE Organizes "Green Transformation Workshop"

The Council of Higher Education (CoHE) organized the “Green Transformation
Workshop” to contribute to Türkiye's green transformation.
In the workshop held at CoHE with the participation of CoHE Executive Board
members, academics, public and private sector representatives, the issues
of contributing to the training of the human resources required for green
transformation in the labor market and supporting Türkiye's green
transformation were emphasized with the arrangements to be made within the
curricula of existing undergraduate and associate degree programs.
On the first day of the two-day workshop, academics specializing in green
transformation shared their insights, while on the second day, input was
gathered from institutions, organizations, and industry leaders. It was
emphasized that new educational programs should be developed to support the
country’s green transformation, and that existing programs should be updated
to align with green transformation goals.
The workshop reached a consensus on the need to take concrete steps to
strengthen associate and undergraduate programs and to train more experts
in environmentally friendly technologies and sustainability.
