Türkiye-Azerbaijan University to be Established
The President of the Council of Higher Education Özvar and Azerbaijani
Minister of Science and Education Amrullayev signed the agreement on
the establishment of Türkiye-Azerbaijan University in Baku in the
presence of President Erdoğan and Azerbaijani President Aliyev.

Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Azerbaijani
President Ilham Aliyev, the works for the establishment of a joint
university in Baku have been completed.
The agreement on the establishment of Türkiye-Azerbaijan University in Baku
will take the scientific and technological cooperation between the two
countries to a new level. It was signed by the President of the Council of
Higher Education Özvar and Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education
Amrullayev in the presence of President Erdoğan and Azerbaijani President
Aliyev at a ceremony held at the Presidential Complex.
Türkiye-Azerbaijan University will bring the experience of Turkish higher
education to Azerbaijan, especially in the fields of health, engineering
and IT.
The joint university, which will start operating this year, aims to train
qualified manpower in the fields of education and bring together the
scientific research capacities of both countries.
Associate degree, undergraduate and graduate programs of well-established
Turkish universities, which will be determined by the Council of Higher
Education, will be offered at Türkiye-Azerbaijan University. The university
will appeal to national and international university candidates as a new
higher education model.
