CoHE Introduces Course Attendee Monitoring System for International
Students
TÖMERSİS/Course Attendee Monitoring System is a secure, controllable
and auditable mechanism to monitor international course attendees
enrolled in the TÖMER/DİLMER courses of universities.
January 7, 2024
The Council of Higher Education launched a Course Attendee Monitoring
System for international course attendees who enroll to learn Turkish at
TÖMER or DİLMER of universities.
The TÖMERSİS/Course Attendee Monitoring System is created as a secure,
transparent, controllable and auditable mechanism which can be accessed
easily by course attendees.
The relevant universities will make the information of the course attendees
such as registration dates, course attendance status, and visa types
available to the Council of Higher Education and the Presidency of
Migration Management through the system.
The Council of Higher Education aims to attract successful and qualified
international students and researchers to Turkish higher education
institutions. The Council continues its efforts to ensure that
international students choosing to study in Türkiye document their legal
status through safe methods. In this context, CoHE signed the "Cooperation
Protocol on Residence Permit Applications for International Students" with
the Presidency of Migration Management last month to facilitate the
residence and visa procedures of international students. In accordance with
the protocol, necessary information and guidance will be provided to
international students in Türkiye so that they do not fall into violation
of legal stay, and bureaucracy will be minimized in residence permit
processes. As a result, the visa procedures, border crossing procedures and
residence permit processes that international students need to obtain
during their period of study will be facilitated and their works and
procedures will be carried out effectively.
