​ Significant Achievements from Türkiye's "Young Universities"

Türkiye was the most represented country with 47 universities in the 2023 Young University Rankings by the UK-based Times Higher Education (THE).

While Koç University and Sabancı University ranked in the top 100, a total of 20 Turkish universities entered the top 500.

Türkiye became the country with the highest number of universities in the 2023 Young University Rankings, in which the UK-based higher education rating agency Times Higher Education (THE) featured the best young universities in the world.

THE lists the world's best universities that are 50 years old or younger in the "Young University Ranking". Universities are assessed on their teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook missions to ensure the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available.

In this context, 605 universities from 78 countries that meet the required criteria were evaluated for THE 2023 Young University Rankings. As a result of the reviews, 47 universities from Türkiye entered the Young University Ranking this year. While Koç University ranked 55th and Sabancı University ranked 89th, 20 Turkish universities ranked in the top 500.
