Postdoctoral Research in Basic Sciences Project

CoHE launches new projects to enable doctoral students and researchers to
conduct research at international standards.
The "International Projects for Researchers" will promote research at
universities ranked in the top 700 in the world rankings in the last three
years.
Under the Postdoctoral Research in Basic Sciences Project, CoHE will
provide financial support for postdoctoral studies to be carried out abroad
by research assistants or assistant professors who have completed their
doctoral studies in higher education institutions. Among those who have
completed their PhD studies at Turkish universities, 100 quotas were
allocated for those who want to carry out their postdoctoral studies
abroad. The priority areas for postdoctoral research are physics,
chemistry, biology and mathematics.
Research assistants and assistant professors who have completed their
doctoral education will be assigned abroad for a maximum of nine months for
postdoctoral studies. In this context, CoHE will provide a monthly stipend
of 20 thousand TL to those who will be sent abroad and will also give 10
thousand TL for transportation.
The candidates must meet the following conditions:
· To be a Turkish citizen working as a research assistant or assistant
professor who completed their doctoral studies in a state higher education
institution,
· To have received PhD degree in the last three years as of the application
date,
· To certify the language exam result showing that you have obtained at
least 80 points from YOKDIL, YDS, E-YDS or an international foreign
language exam accepted as equivalent by OSYM in the last three years, in
the language in which the study will be conducted,
· To have no connection with the military for male candidates (To have
completed military service, to be deferred from military service or to be
in a condition for deferral)
· To receive an invitation letter from one of the universities ranked in
the top 700 in the world university rankings conducted by University
Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), Times Higher Education (THE),
Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai) and World University
Rankings (QS) in the last three years for a maximum of nine month.
CoHE will announce the application dates and details at a later time.
