TUBITAK-1004 Center of Excellence Support Program
Özvar also made a speech at the meeting where TUBITAK 1004-Center of
Excellence Support Program was evaluated.
He stated that one of the biggest goals of the Council of Higher Education
in the coming period would be to make all kinds of arrangements that would
pave the way for universities to differentiate themselves.
He stated that the Center of Excellence Support Program was of great
importance in terms of developing national technologies and increasing
Türkiye's competitiveness in international platforms. Özvar said, "We
consider this program as an exceptional opportunity for our universities."
"Especially within the scope of the program where research universities can
evaluate their knowledge, skills and competencies together with all their
stakeholders, the progress made by our centers of excellence over a
relatively short period of time is truly exciting. The sustainability of
these centers will be among the most important goals of the Ministry of
Industry and Technology, TUBITAK and CoHE. I think that it should not be
limited to our universities, but carried out together with the business
world, industry and our stakeholders."
Özvar added that they continued their efforts to make the necessary legal
arrangements for the centers of excellence to work more effectively.
