The Council of Higher Education has taken some decisions to eliminate the differences in practice in higher education institutions regarding students who have completed the maximum period of study.

The decisions taken by the CoHE Executive Board were sent to the universities.

Accordingly, students enrolled in all higher education programs at associate and undergraduate level (4th, 5th and 6th year) will be able to benefit from the right to take an exam as stated in Article 44/c of Law No. 2547 for the courses they have never taken or failed to meet the attendance requirement.

The students, who need to be evaluated by practical exams due to the nature of the courses, will be required to take practical exams, and theoretical courses will be assessed by written exams. The same rule will apply for the courses that students have not taken before.

Those who take practical exams and sit for written exams will continue to pay the tuition fees per course. Tuition fees will not exceed the amount determined by the Presidential Decree for the relevant semester.
