CoHE's new support projects for internationalization: Projects for
International Researchers
Under the YÖK International Fellowship Programme, CoHE will invite
researchers from the world's distinguished universities to Türkiye to
conduct studies in the fields of Ottoman History, General Turkish
History, Turkology, Turkish Language and Literature, and Turkish
Culture.
CoHE President Özvar: "This program will lead to international joint
studies as it will enable international researchers working on Türkiye
to collaborate more with Turkish scientists."

YÖK International Fellowship Programme

CoHE has launched a new project to enable doctoral students and researchers
to carry out studies at an international level. Through the YÖK
International Fellowship Programme, researchers from the elite universities
in the world will be invited to Türkiye.
CoHE President Erol Özvar stated that, international scientists from
abroad, who are at the doctoral thesis stage in the fields of Ottoman
History, General Turkish History, Turkology, Turkish Language and
Literature or Turkish Culture at leading universities around the world, and
those who have completed their doctoral theses in the last two years will
be invited to Türkiye with the YÖK International Scientists Support Project
to further their research.
"This program will contribute significantly to the internationalization of
Turkish higher education as it will enable international researchers
working on Türkiye to benefit from primary sources during their studies and
to interact more with the academics at Turkish universities. We plan to
increase the number of academics we will invite and their fields of study
in the coming years," he said.

scientific research at Turkish universities
According to the YÖK International Fellowship Programme, five international
students who are in the thesis stage of their doctoral studies in the
fields of Ottoman History, General Turkish History, Turkology, Turkish
Language and Literature or Turkish Culture at higher education institutions
abroad and ten international researchers who have completed their doctoral
studies in the same fields within the last two years will be given the
opportunity to carry out studies at Turkish universities.
The project aims to bring international students and post-doctoral
researchers who are in the thesis stage of their doctoral studies at the
universities, which ranked in the top 700 in the world university rankings
conducted by the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), Times
Higher Education (THE), Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai)
and World University Rankings (QS) in the last three years, to Türkiye.
In order to apply for the project, candidates who meet the requirements
must be accepted to work for one or two semesters at Ankara Universities,
Boğaziçi University, Ege University, Hacettepe University, Istanbul
University, Marmara University and Middle East Technical University, as
determined by the Council of Higher Education.
International researchers who will benefit from the project will receive a
monthly stipend of 20 thousand TL.
CoHE will announce the details of the application and evaluation processes
at a later time.
