- CoHE logo was changed to green

Özvar shared the CoHE logo, which was changed from red to green, on his twitter account. He wished that the Türkiye Environment Week, which is celebrated for the first time with the theme of “zero waste” this year, and the World Environment Day, which is celebrated with an emphasis on "sustainable, nature-friendly, cleaner, greener life", would help people in our country and in the world, especially at Turkish universities, act more consciously and sensitively about environmental problems.

Özvar drew attention to the fact that the CoHE logo was changed for the first time since its establishment and turned to green for the Türkiye Environment Week and World Environment Day to draw attention to the goal of a more environmentally friendly, cleaner and greener Türkiye and to raise awareness on this issue.

He addressed the young people in his post and wrote, “Dear Young People, we should all take more care of our forests, seas, nature and environment. I want you to know that we will continue to be a supporter of the studies and activities to be carried out on this subject at all Turkish universities.”

Özvar noted that he found it valuable for universities to carry out projects that were compatible with nature and had a green texture by producing zero waste, and to create campuses that would produce their own clean energy and added, “I invite Turkish universities to act in cooperation with all their stakeholders and show more effort to leave a livable and green world to future generations.”
