CoHE President Özvar Attends IUB Board Meeting

CoHE President Erol Özvar attended the board meeting of the Interuniversity
Board (IUB) hosted by Manisa Celal Bayar University.
CoHE President Erol Özvar headed the meeting. The rectors of the member
universities, which are Ankara University, Ankara Music and Fine Arts
University, Atatürk University, Erciyes University, Manisa Celal Bayar
University, İstanbul University, İstanbul Aydın University, İstanbul
Technical University, İzmir Bakırçay University, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
University ve Sabancı University, and IUB representatives participated in
the meeting.
The participants discussed the current situation of Turkish higher
education and the expectations for the future. They also talked about the
improvements for the assessment process of the applications made to IUB.
- President Özvar’s Message to Work Closely in Collaboration with
Universities
After the meeting, he posted a message on his social media which read: “As
CoHE, we continue to take part in the meetings held within the scope of
various collaborations of universities by establishing closer contact with
them in the new term in higher education.”
Özvar said that he attended the Board Meeting of the Interuniversity Board
held by Manisa Celal Bayar University for the same reason.
“On the occasion of the meeting, we met with the respectable rectors of the
universities that form the IUB Board and discussed the current situation of
the academia. We talked about the improvements for the assessment process
of the applications made to IUB. As CoHE, we are planning to meet with
Turkish universities frequently and work with them. In this context, I
believe that we will make great contributions to Turkish higher education
by being more participatory and in close communication with the
universities."
