“Study in Turkey YÖK Virtual Fair 2020” Ends

The "Study in Turkey YÖK Virtual Fair 2020", which was organized by the Council of Higher Education for the promotion of Turkish universities abroad in digital media during the new coronavirus pandemic, has ended.
The Fair, which opened its doors to its visitors online between 20-22 July 2020 and attracted great attention, has allowed Turkish higher education to gain attention from all over the world, especially from 142 countries where Turkish diplomatic missions are present.
According to the information received from CoHE officials, the Fair, in which 190 higher education institutions took part, was visited by 38.544 unique visitors 59.227 times in three days. The Fair was visited 259,417 times and visitors from 164 countries participated in the event. The event attracted the most attention from Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Somalia and the United States.
During the Fair, which ended at 8 pm on July 22, Turkish higher education institutions informed prospective international students of many topics such as departments, programs, admission requirements and quotas, scholarships and accommodation facilities through online interviews and seminars.
The first virtual fair in the history of CoHE, which was held at www.virtualfair-yok.gov.tr, served as an important opportunity to attract more prospective international students to the Turkish higher education system.
CoHE President Saraç underlined that they provided an important opportunity to international students so that more international students could be included in the Turkish higher education system, where nearly 180 thousand international students from 182 countries are receiving education.
Saraç stated that young people of higher education age met with 190 universities in the online fair and pointed out that they were able to access information about various opportunities offered in Turkish higher education institutions including distance learning.
