Applications for Barrier-free University Awards for 2020-2021

CoHE started to give the Barrier-free University Awards in 2018 to raise
awareness regarding the access of disabled people to physical areas,
educational opportunities and socio-cultural activities in higher education
institutions and to spread good practices.
The awards are given in two categories:
I. Barrier-free University Flags

Spatial Accessibility (Orange Flag)
-
Access to Education (Green Flag)
-
Access to Socio-cultural Activities (Blue Flag)
II.
Barrier-free Program Decorations
While the standard criteria for the relevant awards will remain the same
for the evaluations to be made this year, the universities will also be
asked for detailed information about the practices that were realized
during the COVID-19 global pandemic, taking into account
the fact that distance education was initiated due to the pandemic as of
the second term of the 2019-2020 academic year.
