CoHE Gives Additional Time to Graduate Students Writing Thesis

The Council of Higher Education made a new arrangement granting an additional term to graduate students writing a thesis in times of disasters and epidemics, and a maximum of two terms depending on the situation.
The Regulation on the Amendment to the Regulation on Graduate Education and Training by the Council of Higher Education was published in the Official Gazette today.
According to the regulation, higher education institutions will be able to give an additional time of one term to graduate students writing thesis during disasters and epidemics. In case students reapply according to the level of the disaster or epidemic, they could be given a maximum of two terms. The additional time granted will not be considered as part of the maximum period of time.
Besides, ALES scores will not be required for the admission of students to master’s degree and doctoral programs of the faculties of fine arts that accept students through the central placement until January 2, 2021.
