November 09, 2019

In addition to determining the university entrance system, CoHE also continues to carry out studies that will guide applicants through their university selection period. In this scope, CoHE President Prof. Yekta Saraç launched the Higher Education Program Atlas (YOK Atlas) at https://yokatlas.yok.gov.tr on March 10, 2016.

- YOK Atlas was updated with the latest data

The modules on YOK Atlas were updated as a result of the works carried out by CoHE and were shared with students making selections for 2020-YKS, their parents, and counselors.

- 22 million 710 thousand people have used YOK Atlas so far

The “Student-friendly CoHE” developed the system to ensure that students make conscious decisions while choosing universities and professions. It has been used by 22 million 710 thousand people so far.

- It has become an essential source of information for selection periods

The system, which was first used during the 2016-OSYS period, has become the essential source of information that was frequently used by university applicants during the selection periods.

When the selection periods between 2016 and 2019 are examined, it is revealed that YOK Atlas has become an essential source of information for university applicants and counselors. 7 million 91 thousand people have used the system during the selection periods.

- Two new models are added to YOK Atlas during the 2019-YKS selection period

We added the modules “Occupation Atlas” and “ Selection List” which we thought would be quite beneficial for executives and researchers in higher education as well as the applicants who will make their choices after the 2019 YKS Exam.

- Applicants will be able to access all information about their choice of occupation with the help of Occupation Atlas

In the Occupation Atlas Module, applicants will be able to filter the details of the quotas, placement and preference information of undergraduate and associate degree programs of previous years at state and foundation universities, the universities in the TRNC and the universities abroad listed in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide of OSYM.

- CoHE added “Selection List” on the request of applicants

The “Selection List” Module was added to the system before the 2019 selection period.

After signing up, YOK Atlas users can add 50 programs found in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide to their selection list and continue to use the same list when they log into YOK Atlas at another time.

- CoHE plans to add new modules before the 2020 selection period

CoHE is working on adding new modules to YOK Atlas before the 2020-YKS selection period. The topics that are worked on include the determination of satisfaction levels of students for higher education programs they are studying in and targeted graduate profiles.
