CoHE Organizes “Determination of Common Problems of Chosen Universities
in Region Two Workshop”

The Council of Higher Education organized the Determination of Common
Problems of Chosen Universities in Region Two Workshop to determine the
common problems of universities in the Eastern Black Sea Region, Eastern
Anatolia Region, and Southeastern Anatolia Region. İnönü University hosted
the workshop in Malatya.
CoHE Member Prof. Muammer Yaylalı coordinated the two-day workshop. In
addition to CoHE Executive Board Members, Prof. Naci Gündoğan and Prof.
Necip Çamuşcu, the rectors of 38 universities also attended the workshop.
The topics of “education-training,” “research-development,” “recognition,”
and “leadership-motivation” were discussed in four sessions. Before the
workshop, the results of the questionnaire entitled “Determination of
Common Problems of Regional Universities,” which was filled out by around
10 thousand academic staff working at regional universities, were
evaluated.
The outputs of the workshop will be submitted to the Council of Higher
Education.
