YOK Atlas Becomes Number One Reference Site in 2019 Selection Period

YOK Atlas, which was launched by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) to
ensure students to take more conscious decisions while choosing their
universities and majors, have been used by 2 million 669 thousand
individuals during the university selection period.
According to the CoHE officials, YOK Atlas, which almost acted like a
school counselor, has been used by 20 million 94 thousand people until now.
940 thousand people benefitted from the service in the 2016 selection
period and this number has increased every year.
YOK Atlas, which was used by 1 million 384 thousand people during the 2017
selection period, was used by 1 million 963 people in 2018.
This year, it was used by 2 million 669 thousand people from July 17 th, the date when the results of the Higher Education
Institutions Exam (YKS) were announced, to July 29th, the
deadline for the selections.
It is estimated for the system to be visited by 2,9 million people by the
end of the additional placement period.
