The following decision has been taken regarding the candidates who applied for a Diploma Equivalency Certificate in Teaching after graduating from higher education institutions abroad and can have a Diploma Equivalency Certificate if they are successful in Educational Sciences in the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS):
With the Law No. 7528 on the Teaching Profession dated October 10, 2024 and numbered 7528, the KPSS Educational Sciences Exam was abolished and replaced by the Academy Entrance Exam of the Ministry of National Education.
For this reason, it has been deemed appropriate by the CoHE Executive Board to hold a Placement Test in Teaching Knowledge as an equivalent to the KPSS Educational Sciences Exam in Teaching within the scope of diploma equivalence, and to have the candidates, who were previously accepted by the Board to have been successful in KPSS Educational Sciences but have not yet been successful in the exam, to take the new exam.
Since the Placement Examination in Teaching Knowledge will only be applied within the scope of equivalency procedures, candidates who wish to be employed as teachers are advised to follow the updates regarding the Academy Entrance Examination.
