Since 2004, the Ramon Margalef Ecology Prize has been awarded in memory of Ramon Margalef, a Catalan biologist and scientist, one of the most important figures in modern environmental science, to recognize scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of environmental science and the good management of natural resources.
