CoHE President Özvar Arrives in Isparta for BAÜB Meeting

CoHE President Erol Özvar paid a visit to Isparta to attend the meeting of
the Western Mediterranean Universities Association (BAÜB) and to make site
visits at the universities in the region. He was accompanied by CoHE
Executive Board Member Prof. Naci Gündoğan.
Özvar visited Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ) and received
information about the studies and academic activities of the university
from İbrahim Diler, the rector of the university. Then he toured the senate
room with metaverse glasses modeled by the students of R&D and
Innovation Club at ISUBÜ. Later, he attended the senate meeting of the
university.
Özvar met with the international students who came from different countries
to study in Isparta in the garden of the ISUBÜ Rector’s Office. He chatted
with them and took a souvenir photo. He also met with the representatives
of the student clubs of the universities in Isparta at dinner and listened
to their demands and suggestions.
Özvar paid a visit to the Rector’s Office of Süleyman Demirel University on
Sunday, June 13. He received information about the current status of the
university from İlker Çarıkçı, the rector of the university, and then
attended the senate meeting.
Özvar met with Isparta Governor Aydın Baruş, Isparta Mayor Şükrü
Başdeğirmen, the rectors of the universities in the region and the
provincial senior officials for lunch. He also visited Governor Baruş and
Mayor Başdeğirmen in their offices.
Özvar visited a rose garden in Eğirdir as part of his visit and collected
roses.
Özvar returned to Ankara after wrapping up talks in Isparta.

Antalya Science University, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Isparta
