- CoHE President Erol Özvar Visits Karabük University
- Özvar: “The number of international students studying at state or
foundation universities in Türkiye has exceeded 260 thousand.”

CoHE President Erol Özvar paid a visit to Karabük University (KBÜ).
Özvar made site visits at the central campus of the university in the
company of KBÜ Rector Prof. Refik Polat and received information about the
academic units of the university.
Özvar visited Polat in his office and then attended the university senate
meeting.
After the meeting, Prof. Özvar met with the students at Fuat Sezgin
Safranbolu Science and Art Academy and stated that he came to Karabük upon
the invitation of Rector Polat.
Erol Özvar stated that the number of international students studying at
state or foundation universities in Türkiye had exceeded 260 thousand.
“I hope these students will take their places in their countries in the
future with their friendships, memories and experiences that they have
carried with them after they graduate. Among these students, I am sure that
there will be students who will rise to important positions in both public
and private sectors. This is a significant development for our country.
Being together with international students is an important cultural
richness and depth for our country and universities.”
Polat thanked CoHE President Özvar for coming to Karabük and noted that
they had a productive day.
