CoHE President Erol Özvar Visits 37 Universities in 24 Provinces and
Meets around 7 Thousand Students in 2022

CoHE President Erol Özvar visited 37 universities in 24 provinces in 2022.
He met and chatted with around 7 thousand students during his university
visits.
He stated that he attached great importance to developing the Turkish
higher education system by considering the needs of universities, academics
and students, and said, “I attach great importance to student meetings. We
are trying to find comprehensive solutions together by exchanging views
with our students.”
Özvar met with students at Hacettepe University, Istanbul University,
Marmara University, Istanbul Medeniyet University, Ege University, Dokuz
Eylül University, Izmir Institute of Technology, Anadolu University,
Eskişehir Technical University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Kayseri
Erciyes University, Kayseri University, Sakarya University, Sakarya
University of Applied Sciences, Atatürk University, Erzurum Technical
University, Ardahan University, Kafkas University, Van Yüzüncü Yıl
University, Uşak University, Kütahya Dumlupınar University, Kütahya Health
Sciences University, Süleyman Demirel University, Isparta University of
Applied Sciences, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, Karabük University,
Pamukkale University, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Bingöl University,
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Fırat University, Kastamonu University,
Sivas Science and Technology University, Sivas Cumhuriyet University,
Ondokuz Mayıs University, Samsun University, and Selçuk University in 2022.
Özvar made his first visit to Erzurum on January 4, on the occasion of the
5th Term Meeting of the Universities Association for Eastern Anatolia
Project Region (UNIDAP). He met with the students studying at Atatürk
University and Erzurum Technical University during his visit. Then he
visited Ardahan University on January 5, and Kafkas University on January
6, and met and chatted with the students.
He met with students at Hacettepe University on February 14, and at Ege
University, Dokuz Eylül University and İzmir Institute of Technology during
his visit to İzmir on February 24-25.
He went to Kayseri on the occasion of the Research Universities Meeting on
March 25, and met with the students of Erciyes University and Kayseri
University. Then he met with the students at Istanbul University on April
1.
He visited Van to attend the Regional Universities Meeting on April 22, and
had a meeting with the students of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Özvar met
with students at Uşak University on April 25.
He had iftar with YÖK Scholarship holders at Marmara University on April
29, met with students at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences and Sakarya
University on May 9, and Anadolu University, Eskişehir Technical University
and Eskişehir Osmangazi University on 13 May.
He went to Kütahya on June 10, on the occasion of the ADIM Universities
Meeting, talked with the students of Kütahya Health Sciences University and
Kütahya Dumlupınar University. Then he visited Süleyman Demirel University
and Isparta University of Applied Sciences to attend the Western
Mediterranean Universities Association (BAUB) Meeting on June 12-13.
He met with students at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University on June 20, and
at the opening of Istanbul Medeniyet University Library on August 12. He
visited the university stands at TEKNOFEST Black Sea on September 2-3 in
Samsun. Then he met students at Karabük University on September 25, at
Pamukkale University on September 28, and at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir
University on October 2.
Özvar met with students on November 7 at Bingöl University, where UNIDAP
6th Term Meeting was held. On November 14, he chatted with students at the
opening of the Offshore Technologies Center in Çaycuma Vocational School at
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University.
He attended the Research Universities Meeting in Elazığ on November 18 and
talked with the students of Fırat University. He visited Kastamonu to
attend the Regional Development-Oriented Universities Meeting on December 2
and met with Kastamonu University students as part of his visit.
He attended the meeting of the Anatolian Universities Association in Sivas
on December 9, met with students at Sivas Science and Technology University
and Sivas Cumhuriyet University. On the same day, he came together with the
students and took a souvenir photo at the opening ceremony of the Faculty
of Architecture and Design and Özdemir Bayraktar Faculty of Aeronautics and
Space Sciences at the Ballıca Campus of Samsun University.
He visited Konya on December 13 to attend the Pilot Universities Meeting
for the Sustainable and Climate Friendly Campus Project and met with
students at Selçuk University. He attended the UNİ-DOKAP meeting hosted by
Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University on December 19, and then met with students
at the Young Türkiye Forum.
