CoHE Takes Decisions to Accelerate Application and Assessment Process for Associate Professorship

The Council of Higher Education decided that the applications for associate professorship would be made in January, May and September. Previously, these applications were made twice a year unless another date was determined by the Interuniversity Council.
The "Regulation on the Amendment of the Regulation on Associate Professorship" by the Council of Higher Education was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the regulation, applications for associate professorship, which were made twice a year, will be made in January, May and September. Applications will be made starting from the 20th of the relevant month till the end of business day of the last working day. This decision will come into force on January 1, 2021.

The preliminary examination committee and the jury members previously examined separately whether the minimum conditions were met in the applications. The regulation entrusted this task only to the jury.
- Digital opportunities to be used in procedures for associate professorship
The information on judging duties will be made available online to the members appointed to the jury for the evaluation of associate professorship and the information on the jury will be made available online to the candidates applying for associate professorship. The information will be deemed to have been communicated to the relevant people on the fifth day following the date it is shared online.
When the jury reports are completed, the reports based on the evaluation and the result of the application will be made available online and will be deemed to be have been communicated to the relevant people on the fifth day following the date it is shared online.
