CoHE Offers Permanent Positions for Universities in Priority Fields
December 9, 2019
Turkey could only reach its goals for development for 2023 through
knowledge and qualified manpower.
In this scope, we have planned many projects to meet the qualified manpower
needed for certain fields in Turkey with the “New CoHE” approach and
realized them with the support of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The Presidency of the Republic of Turkey has approved the transfer of the
assignment approval of 535 permanent positions for research assistants to
higher education institutions by the Council of Higher Education under the
“
Project for the Employment of Research Assistants in Priority Fields
”.
- CoHE took notice of the fields where it is difficult to employ
faculty members
In addition to the permanent positions universities use in their preferred
fields, the “New CoHE” has developed a central plan for the approval of
additional permanent positions this year by taking notice of the fields
where it is difficult to employ faculty members.
- Universities were given the authority to assign 535 people in
different fields
Higher education institutions were given the authority to assign 535
research assistants to permanent positions in fields such as Pharmacy,
Architecture, Psychology, Nursing, Autism Spectrum Disorder Education,
Special Education, Audiology, and Speech and Language Therapy. 180
permanent positions were allocated for Law. The evaluation and selection of
the candidates will be carried out by universities.
- The issue of lack of personnel will be largely resolved with this
planning in two years
According to our plans and projections, the issue of lack of faculty
members in these fields will be largely resolved in two years in case these
policies are followed.
On the other hand, the procedures for advertisements that are posted by the
approval of the Council of Higher Education with the planning and request
of universities will be carried out as before.
