CoHE President Visits Malaysia

CoHE President Prof. M. A. Yekta Saraç and the accompanying delegation paid a one-day visit to Malaysia in order to develop the relations between Turkey and Malaysia in higher education and discuss the implementation process of the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education" which was signed with the Ministry of Education of Malaysia.


CoHE President Saraç was accompanied by CoHE Deputy President Prof. Hasan Mandal and CoHE Executive Member Prof. Rahmi Er.


CoHE President and the accompanying delegation first met with Datin Paduka Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah Binti Tapsir, General Director of Higher Education in the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia, and received a briefing on the recent developments in the Malaysian higher education system and future projects.


The CoHE Delegation met with Dato Seri Idris Jusoh, Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, at his office to discuss the topics on the development of relations within the scope of the memorandum of understanding signed in the field of higher education between the two countries. They came to a mutual agreement to form a working group. This working group will be working on the exchange of knowledge and experience among higher education systems, the development of joint exchange programs, the initiation of dual/joint diploma programs and the recognition of diplomas.

The delegation visited Education Malaysia Global Services and received a briefing on the process related to international students in Malaysia.
