- Accreditation in Higher Education
Accreditation is a system aiming to reveal that the higher education system in general and the HEIs in particular have certain performance standards (quality, productivity, efficiency, etc.) at national and international levels and therefore to establish trust in those who demand higher education.
Accreditation in higher education is an instrument for academic quality, transparency and accountability.
- to facilitate and accelerate the process of mutual recognition of HEIs,
- to recruit the comparison of diplomas and titles.
Due to the legislations in Turkey, accreditation procedures in both "Accreditation" and "Diploma Equivalence" processes are carried out by the CoHE. Accreditation forms the basis for processes related to "Recognition" and "Equivalence".
