CoHE President Saraç Visits Republic of Albania

CoHE President Prof. M. A. Yekta Saraç and CoHE Deputy President Prof. Hasan Mandal paid an official one-day visit to Albania in order to hold official talks on higher education.

 

CoHE President Sarac visited the Turkish Embassy in Tirana and met with Ambassador Hidayet Bayraktar.

 

 

 

 

Following his meeting with the Ambassador, President Saraç paid a visit to the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania and met with Minister Lindita Nikolla.

 

They discussed the implementation process of the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education between CoHE and the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania" that was signed with the aim of developing cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries.

 

 

 

 

As is known, the memorandum of understanding, which was signed in Istanbul on November 20, 2015, aims at the mobility of students and academic staff in various fields, encouragement of the signing of diploma program protocols between universities, provision of scholarships, promotion of the Turkish and Albanian languages and establishment of the departments of the Turkish and Albanian languages in order to establish the institutional framework for establishing the partnership in higher education and provide the exchange in academic and scientific fields between the higher education institutions.

 

 

 

 

Both sides reached a consensus on the Implementation Protocol of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education between the Higher Education Council and the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania and agreed on the training of more Albanian students in the fields required by Albania in the Turkish higher education institutions.
