1.    Mentors are sufficient in quality and quantity, supportive and helpful.  

2.    Students have sufficient class contact teaching time. 

3.    Students have the opportunity to work with an appropriate range of students. 

4.    Students, faculty staff, and teachers prepare the setting for school experience and teaching practice.

·         Documents showing feedback to students from observations of student lessons (lesson observation and evaluation forms)

·         Samples of students’ school experience and teaching practice files

·         Faculty partnership co-ordinator and department co-ordinator’s files

·         Records of mentor training seminars, postgraduate studies and similar arrangements

·         Interviews with students

·         Interviews with mentors and partnership faculty staff

·         Documents showing the mentor teacher/student teacher ratios

A       Students are provided with an appropriate environment in partner schools.

B       Students are provided with a satisfactory environment in schools.

C       The school conditions are acceptable.

 D      Students practise teaching in inappropriate school experience conditions.
