1.    Most students continue with the program to the end.

4.    Academic counselling and guidance offered to students support their developing understanding of the teaching profession. 

5.    Students are generally satisfied with the support and guidance they receive. 

6.    The faculty staff have developed appropriate policies and procedures to support academic guidance services.

Policies about professional and academic development of students: 

A       are applied effectively at faculty level, with regard for the special needs of students on school practice. Drop-out and repeat rates are low, and attendance rates high. Students express high levels of satisfaction with the support they receive 

B       are in place, but are not well followed. Students are reasonably satisfied 

C       are barely adequate and documentation is poor. Drop-out, repeat and attendance rates are adequate 

D      are poor. Drop-out and attendance rates are unsatisfactory. Students express high levels of dissatisfaction with aspects of the course. There is absence of counselling or remedial response.
