2.2.1   Faculty members show sufficient level of professional development

1.    Staff are informed about developments in education  

2.    Faculty staff are informed about developments in their area of specialisation 

3.    Staff participate effectively in the developmental work of the faculty 

4.    Professional development of the staff is reflected in applications in the teaching program (e.g., increased use of technology in the classroom, stronger relations with partner schools)

 

 

·         List of professional training courses attended by staff, or other related documents of professional development 

·         Interviews with staff to discover new responsibilities and extension of skills 

·         Interview with dean 

·         QA reviews, faculty development plans, or other documents that relate priorities in staff development to planned improvements in teacher preparation 

·         Classroom observations

Faculty staff: 

A       are mostly up-to-date and knowledgeable about current issues in their subject/education. They are knowledgeable about new developments in the faculty. They reflect the developments in their applications 

B       are mostly trying to be up-to-date and interested in professional development 

C       are open for professional development. But they are not very interested with faculty activities. They do not adequately reflect current developments in their teaching 

D      are out of date and unconcerned about current developments.
