1.2.2   Students have opportunities to observe good teaching and class management in the faculty and schools

1.    Faculty staff and school teachers are well prepared for the lessons they teach and demonstrate successful classroom management.  

2.    Educational technology is used effectively by faculty staff and school teachers.  

3.    Micro-teaching methods are used to improve student performance. 

4.    Faculty staff and school teachers use varied teaching methods according to the learning objectives. 

5.    Classes in the faculty and in the partner schools show a high level of student involvement.

Lessons and classes: 

A    are stimulating and varied. Students are fully engaged and involved, and make good responses. Regular use of audio-visual materials, micro-teaching. Observed teaching techniques are systematically varied according to the teaching objectives and the needs of the class. 

B    are reasonably stimulating, with some student involvement and use of audio-visual materials.  Generally appropriate variation in teaching methods. 

C    are interesting only in parts, with little student engagement. Little use of audio-visual materials.  Little or non-systematic variation in teaching methods. 

D    are dull and poorly delivered. Students are not engaged/involved.  Teaching methods not matched to curriculum or needs of students.
