CoHE President Saraç Visits Bangladesh

CoHE President Prof. M. A. Yekta Saraç paid a one-day visit to the People's Republic of Bangladesh in order to develop the relations between the Republic of Turkey and the People's Republic of Bangladesh in the field of higher education and sign the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education" with the University Grants Commission, the highest institution responsible for higher education in the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

 

CoHE President Saraç was accompanied by CoHE Deputy President Prof. Hasan Mandal and CoHE Executive Member Prof. Rahmi Er.

 

They first visited the BUTEX campus where the Bangladesh University of Textiles is located at.

 

Prof. M. A. Yekta Saraç, President of the Council of Higher Education, and Prof. Abdul Mannan, President of the University Grants Commission, signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the development of cooperation in the field of higher education between the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey and the University Grants Commission of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

 

They also signed the Implementation Protocol of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of higher education between the Council of Higher Education and the University Grants Commission.

 

The Memorandum of Understanding and the Implementation Protocol will increase cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries and ensure that Bangladeshi students will receive higher education in Turkey as scholarship students especially in the fields of textile and agriculture.

 

Lastly, the delegation of the Council of Higher Education met with Emaz Uddin Pramanik, Minister of Textile of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
